Aqualyx® is a safe, effective fat dissolving injection treatment that reduces fat cells in the treated area by breaking down the fat so that the body can remove it via the lymphatic system. It’s an effective treatment for removing those pockets of fat which won’t go with diet and exercise alone.
For best results, a 30 minute ultrasound session (£30) is recommended two weeks after the treatment along with maintaining a healthy diet and regular exercise.
Aqualyx® Lipodissolve Packages - 3 sessions
Aqualyx® is an injectable compound of a substance called deoxycholic acid. Essentially it absorbs the fat and you pass it out through the kidneys naturally. During the treatment, it is a series of injections using a special needle called a cannula and it takes about an hour to do the procedure but we’ll be essentially injecting the areas that need treating with the Aqualyx®.
The area to be treated is marked out into sections where a series of injections will be administered to target the fat cells.
You will require 1-3 treatments to achieve the full results. Treatments are usually 4-6 weeks apart.
– There may be redness, bruising and swelling that could last up to a week.
– Painkillers can be taken to ease any discomfort but we recommend against anti-inflammatory medication such as ibuprofen as this can increase the chance of bruising and swelling.
– Avoid exercise for a week.
– Drink plenty of fluids after treatment – aim for at least 2 litres of water a day.
– Maintain a healthy lifestyle and diet for optimal results.
– Avoid any extreme hot or cold temperatures for the first week following treatment, this includes sunbeds, saunas, steam rooms and hot tubs.
